WE ARE THE BEAUTY WE LEAVE BEHIND.
At AUREA we believe beauty is its most meaningful when it creates beauty beyond itself.
Each quarter, AUREA dedicates 10% of its profits to a positive-impact project nominated by our customers. The hope is to celebrate the stories, causes, and communities that matter to the people who are part of ours.
Lovely Traces supports projects that protect the places we love, preserve the crafts we value, restore what is beautiful, uplift those doing good in the world, and care for creatures in need with the simple goal of making the world a little more lovely.
WHERE WE BEGIN
For our first chapter, we have chosen to support the incredibly inspiring, powerful and poetic Sacred Forests Foundation.
Working alongside the Arhuaco Indigenous people of Colombia's Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Sacred Forests supports the protection and restoration of one of the world's most ecologically significant landscapes: helping to reclaim ancestral land, restore degraded forests, and protect the ecosystems that remain.
What inspires us most is the way their approach proactively brings together different forms of knowledge and understanding. Through combining scientific research, modern technology, and ecological approaches with the ancestral knowledge, wisdom, and stewardship of the Arhuaco people the foundation recognizes that protecting the natural world requires us to listen to and learn from many different ways of seeing it.
As AUREA begins to grow and our community takes shape, we selected Sacred Forests as the first project to be supported by our Lovely Traces program. From here, the choice belongs to you.
